May I please ask for your support, vote for the Giro d’Italia by Darren Collard.

Hi,
My design has been added to the shortlist of 25 bikes from nearly 6000 entries in a competition on the road.cc website. The winner will be decided by a public vote.
I would be very grateful if you could spare a few moments and vote for my design, Giro d’Italia by Darren Collard.
The frame is painted in the colours of the Italian flag, while the tyres and ‘bar tape match the race leaders jersey, the maglia rosa (pink jersey). But it is not all about looks, the wheels and groupset have been chosen with the toughest Grand Tour in mind, including a Ceramic bottom bracket for extra weight saving.
Click on the link below or search for ‘road.cc project one vote’:
http://road.cc/content/news/110710-trek-project-one-competition-voting-now-open
You can vote from the web page or by using twitter and facebook as per instructions.
If you are feeling extremely generous, you could vote using all three methods!
Thank you for your support, it is greatly appreciated.
Kindest regards,
Darren Collard.

Giro theme, eh? Sorry, mate - the pink handlebar tape hurts my eyes. Interesting competition, tho. Thanks for letting us know about it.

Slow down for a second.

It's not that you want "us" peruse the options and then vote for the one that appeals to us the most. You want us to vote for yours simply because...you asked?

That would be cool, and all, except that your last (and only other effort) post was back in 2009. And that was in an attempt for you to win a signed team Columbia jersey. So I'm not too sure as to the degree of solidarity that you feel you've earned here yet.

Am I being a bit prickish ? Could be...could be.

I'll give you this though: I can't, for the life of me, figure out what constitutes a "design" in many of those other offerings. Seeing that you actually have a theme, and one that seems to make sense, and one that you seem to have captured somewhat effectively, I'd say I actually like yours the best!

There is still one serious obstacle between myself and the Like button however.

One word: Trek.

Ok, I voted for you. Happy now? :D
(But as soon as I did, the number of likes on your design jumped from 21 to 175. I never knew I had so much power!)

Thank you for your vote, that's most kind, and your points are valid!

Thanks for your comment, I limited the pink to just areas where it is easy and cheap to change.:D
