Meanwhile in Italy...

The Brixia Tour is appearently a dangerous chaos.

The time trial has been neutralized (!) because many of the road was unclear and they didn't have enough motors and police to keep the road free.
Shopping audience was simply crossing the road all the time and even cars (!) were on the course that didn't belong there.

Yesterday Rabo DS Nico Verhoeven said it was also a chaos because the peloton became splintered. The first groups still had enough police moto's to keep the traffic out. But the groups behind became caught up in actual traffic

Verhoeven said it is the worst chaos he ever saw in a professional race in his career and he has been DS of the continental team in the past too, so had many other small races where this didn't happen.

It looks like Brixia Tour might better just stop if they can't properly organize anymore.

The brixia tour has been a farce from the start. originally cancelled, then on, then off again, then back on again. The route only got finalised about two weeks ago, the stage profiles got released even later. Bad marshalling, no traffic control.

Yes, the teams should just pull out and go home.
