Ok, so given some of the reactions noted from some of the cycling media here;
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/media-reactions-to-contadors-clearing-on-doping-charges

How about the following for a challenge? Just ban him yourselves. Don't mention Alberto, not in any light. Positive or Negative, nor updates on the case. For the period of 2 years from which he should have been banned. Lower his stock value yourselves. If he races, just leave a blank in results rather than write his name in there. What could the UCI, or race organisations, or Alberto, or the Spanish federation, or Riis and his sponsors do about it if the cycling media were just to make it like he vanished off the face of the earth for two years?

Remember that media companies require sponsors to exist. Sponsors who will not be pleased if their expensive marquee man is not getting the attention that usually accompanies his performance. As I type this Alberto is the face of SRAM on the upper right of my screen. Bike, helmet, clothing, shoe companies and the sponsors of Team Saxo Bank - Sungard might also muscle the media by withdrawing advertising. Love him or hate him, the guy is worth a lot of money to a lot of people, and money talks. Plus, they might not get interviews or inside information from certain teams or UCI members.

Do we really need to open another Contador thread for such an "intelligent idea"??:rolleyes::p

You see, the sport of cycling is a bit bigger and wider than http://www.cyclingnews.com, UCI and the TDF. In fact, believe or not, some of us common folks (not the pros you read in here) actually ride and race bicycles too !!! :D
