Thoughts gentlemen?

Got to say I have always been impressed with Robert Millar's writing and his latest article is another good one. Looking forward to the one coming next.

I was a little surprised it hadn't been picked up in here already. Millar rode in some well known teams. I have always had the impression that he either tells things as he sees them or doesn't say anything.

I am very interested in his story with regards to drugs and I also agree that it is shameful that the report into doping in 98 is being released when it is. (Not the fact it is being released)

If Millar does reveal his past, it could be interesting as he is another rider who transcends the period that cycling moved from amphetamines/hormones onto EPO. Millar rode quite well in the mountains for TVM in the 92/93 Tour's battling it out with the likes of Indurain, Chiappucci, Rominger etc so will be interesting to hear if he moved onto EPO as well. I don't think he was selected in 94 so maybe he didn't.

I will say this, after the 98 Tour BBC Radio 5 did a piece on doping in the sport and Millar was asked his opinion on the subject. His response then was that the riders were professionals and it should be their choice to look after themselves as it was part of their job to be in top shape. Doesn't exactly scream eanti-doping but he seem's to have changed his mind somewhat now.
