There's a lot of talk of performances that are "not normal", but seemingly very little credence given to any winning performance being believable.

So, are there any riders winning at the top level whose performance looks "normal"?

Marco Pinotti

I used to think the same untill last years Giro when he put 1'30 or so into Taylor Phinney in an ITT. That doesn't seem normal to me.

none

the peloton is still hot enough. wont get a credibkle performance post lemond sorry\soory Libertine, but one of the, if not the most knowledgable poster and contributor on the fora, you need to leave the Cobo references behind. like Evans, he might be more believable and do less. like moncoutie.

but not clean.

said with due respect to a great individual poster

moncoutie example. remember when philippe gilbert was touted as the clean cycling saviour.

who thinks in retrospect, gilbert just rolled the dice in the last two years, or that adult acne was a result of his body's protest about exogenous hormones.

NOT NORMAL

Perhaps, I like Pinotti but he seemed to be flying a bit more than usual in that Giro. Ok Phinney could of been a bit stuffed for sure.

Some other decent testers were taken apart I seem to remember in that race. Gilberts acne is also a worry but more for him though he could end up advertising face cream on Belgian TV in the future for cash.

It's not normal to be tucked in behind a TV moto for 75% of an ITT, as Pinotti was that day.

2009 Cervélo was something to behold. To what extent was Vroomen involved in the day-to-day management and, er, preparation?
