Stanley Clarke looks to have a stretch Alembic base...God Bless the Grateful Dead for growing that influence, too.

And something that made me love true influences born of a bit of madness. Some would argue that what came from this band later was the sugar from the true hive of inspiration.

Oh Well part 1 tells alot but is not as peaceful as this. They do go together. My personal, juvenile favorite from this source album, Then Play On is: Rattlesnake Shake. Deal with it as you must...
The Kiln House album opens up all of their influences in a fun way and showed Christine McVie to be a light-handed genius that unwittingly ushered in the money machine that came later. All the guitarists on Then Play On went a little off the grid or passed on.

Was catching up to some Rick and Morty, they used this gem in one of the episodes. It’s been a while since I heard it.

 
Okay, Entombed's Left hand path is probably the better and more iconic death metal monument.

But when it comes to a record that feels like it's going to implode because of the sheer compressive forces involved, it's hard to beat Dismember's Like an everflowing stream. Somehow it felt apt today, as Ventoux is gonna be climbed.

Hilariously, the band was taken to court in England because of the "indecent and obscene" lyrics. Which means that the warden and jury had to listen to it. And the next album got its title.
