Chris White has stated he has 10 riders signed and looking for more at Vuelta

any ideas who is signed there are rumours that McEwan has signed

Chris is holding the first training camp in the Outback so that will challenge the WADA vampires they will need a indiginus guide to track them down.

The riders have to give wherabouts notice but the address is simpson dessert or Kackadoo which could be thousands of square killometers. like looking for a needle in a hay stack even with a helicopter.

The Outback doesn't neccesarily mean in the middle of the desert.

I hope they through some big money at thor as he would be a big wildcard for the team. Being up there in some of the big classics and winning races from the start would be good for their team.

Outback australian does not mean desert. If you want desert you go to the nullabor, most of northern territory, WA or the north part of south australia. I would imagine if they were wanting mountains they would go into the Blue Mountains of NSW or the Alpine Part of Gippsland in Victoria.

The jerseys are suppose to have some aboriginal art on them. That means it will be either red, brown, white or black.

Are the 10 riders he has said to of signed, new signings or 10 guranteed riders for next year?

I am really excited and interested about who the sponsor will be and the riders they have got on board for next year. Exciting times for australian cycling.

Whitie said outback so we will see We will have a big start to the pro cycling in Oz next year starting 3rd Jan with bay classic then Australian Champs followed by the sun tour on 8th February so anyone wanting to prepare for the classics will have a great time.

They got to get organised with earlier starts with Sun Tour so as not to get too hot.

Great for Australian Summer Cycling

Trent Lowe has been mentioned as being one of the 10.

As for mountains training, I would think that the South Coast/Southern Highlands (Jamberoo Mountain, Cambewarra Mountain, Barrengarry Mountain, Macquarie Pass) would be better than the Blue Mountains, although not quite as good as the Alpine region of Victoria.

Only trouble with alpine raods is Victoria in summer is its hot very hot they need training fot the classics.

No one with any sence would head up there on a bike in 35 deg the Australian summer season starts early Janury so team bonding in the outback would be prior to Christmas.

It's not "the Outback", but Tassie makes for some good training terrain, plenty of rolling hills and some big climbs, and the climate in summer is certainly more favourable than the mainland.

'White claims he has a US sponsor in place to back the team'

'All the drive and corporate entity is Australian. We will be distinctly Australian.''

Isn't Virgin touted as the main sponsor?

erm, so an 'american' British sponsor. look forward to the Australian corporate identity;);)

In all seriousness, good luck to 'em.

It sounds like you are referring to Fly V Australia (just wait until we get it up), who have been racing in North America. I was under the impression that this was going to be a different entity to that team.

Where will they locate ? In Belgium or UK ? Australia really deserves a high ranked pro team . They have excellent riders. Recruit Matthew Lloyd
