This has the stink of something exciting. Looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Wonder what team it is that has former world and euro champs in it! :)

The director of a known team that has former World champions and Europe champions was arrested. Hmmm... What is a "Europe championship" in cycling exactly? Either the article is mixing cycling and soccer, or they are talking about national championships.

ETA: Could they mean track?

I read in another forum that this might be a masters club.

a masters cycling club?

would be a slight bummer.

Looking at other articles it appears to be predominantly sportsman from other sports- triathletes body builders etc.

In terms of ds, if the arrests were today I can't see it being sky or garmin by fact their ds's being elsewhere (giro and Cali)

JV is in the States!

The CEO of a famous cycling team that counts in its ranks former world champions and Europe was arrested

famous cycling team? that has to narrow it down a bit, to at least 5!

Thanks. So it's official, it's a masters cycling club's director... but is that the same guy as the general manager of a "well known cycling team" which has "several former World and European champions in its roster"? I'm struggling to think the police would describe any masters club as "well known".

indeed, this remains unclear from the article.

From the police press release:

So is the manager of a well known masters cycling team with former World and European champions (whatever this means)

Former world and European champions - either a non-road discipline or the info's inaccurate in some way.

I'll go Garmin though.
