I have a bit of an issue that has started since the newest update.

With the update, as soon as you click the "Quote" icon the "Quote background" appears on the screen while you're typing, as opposed to simply the tags. Unfortunately, that also means that as soon as you hit Enter - to change lines - you get thrown out of the quote...

Hold down shift and then press enter.

Yes, it works. However, it's annoying.
Much easier to just have everything - that includes pictures - show up as tags while you're typing your post.

I'll re-up what I said in the Vuelta stage thread here. Would really appreciate a bugfix.

I have had to reupload every single climb profile externally because I kept getting errors when trying to post otherwise - seriously, I cannot believe that all of Ramacabici, Rocobike, AC Montjuïc and 1001 Puertos have the same thing ***ed with their site, there is very clearly something wrong with the forum software. The software also forces me to wait 3 minutes between attempts to post a thread, hence why this one is late.

Edit: and when editing the post, I can put in images from all four sites without a hitch. Definitely a bug in the forum then.

Small improvement, could we improve the quality of the favicon? The logo of cyclingnews is very pixelated on my empty tab screen where my favourite sites are immediately accessible.

In fact, I like it so much that I would prefer that to be the thread icon for my Christmas Calendar, rather than the random MSR photo.

Not sure it would, except that I could post my question over there as well.
What I found strange was that it simply uses whatever picture might be in the thread, and when you go to select a specific one, your avatar isn't an option.
Sure, for race threads, the first image in the thread-starter post is probably going to be a map or profile or something like that.

Which deletions bother you? If they are moderator actions, better to PM me, as there is a rule against public discussion of moderation.

I just find it strange. Several threads are losing posts so I thought it wasn't a mod action (I can be wrong but I didn't find offensive posts in the last days) but rather a hacking action.

Some editors evidently delete their own message and post again, rather than editing their original post: you may be coming across examples of that. I can see several such in recent days.

Deleting is the only way I know to undo a message I didn’t mean to start. My crappy old phone is touchy and frequently opens a response comment (when I don’t want to) when I’m just scrolling through to read a thread. What else am I supposed to do other than delete it? If I ignore it there will always be a “open” comment box in that thread. There was never any text. Maybe there’s a “cancel” button somewhere but I’ve never found it. Probably happens at least once a day if there are a lot of threads.

I'll move these to the thread in which you started this yesterday, but I'm not sure what you are finding to be such an issue. In this thread I removed one message that was reported as clinic-y, and a response to it, and one message was deleted by its poster (who apparently thinks that it is "weird" that there are deleted messages!)

Nothing has been deleted from the Evenepoel thread since 3rd December, so I really don't know what that comment is about.

Nothing has been deleted from the Evenepoel thread since 3rd December.

I deleted one message and typed a new about the same topic cause I thought i missed or the meaning came out wrong. Thats not several which is why I just asked why to what he said, that was all for my part as i thought he meant alot of messages which i thought he implied.
