No giro for Scarponi

[...]Damiano Cunego and Michele Scarponi both planning to peak for the Tour de France in July[...]

I don't really know if this means that neither of them will do the Giro. It's an Italian team, one of them has to do it and Scarponi can still "peak for the Tour de France" the way Simoni allegedly did all the time...

If neither Cunego or Scarponi are doing the Giro then who will lead the team? All for Petacchi maybe?

Scarponi did Giro and vuelta double last year, and performed like sh*t in his standard. i think he got burned, I doubt he will try do Giro Tour double again which is even harder than Giro-Vuelta

dont like this.

If he doesn't ride giro, on the brightside;
Think we can expect to see ulissi get a free role now at the giro?
Maybe winner anacona will ride too.

+ Ale jet.

Remember that moment in Lombardy where everyone was praising Ullissi, for how well he was doing.

And after a little bit of confusion, it turned out Ulissi was out the back.

And Cunego couldnt handle the pace.

And the Lampre rider at the front, who was dropping Gilbert and Sanchez and Anton and Moreno etc was...

Niemiec? Agree he could ride giro wih some degree of a free role. Didn't say he couldn't.

Doesn't change the fact that I expect young ulissi to get a free role, Lampre will want to mold him into another italian star for the future.

And I just wanna see winner ride :D He did pretty will at baby giro.

By the way Niemiec is his 2nd name Timmy. His Second name. Its not N. Przemyslaw;)

And you just want to see winner ancona ride because hes on your cq team. :D

Though I dont see why Giro bio winners should have any more success than Tour Lav or world u23 winners.

Cataldo hasn't really shone, and nor has Saramiento. Betancur did, but only on 1 stage. And winner hasnt even won it.

Especially since he is only 22.

well baby giro is exposed to more then just espoirs (u27).
But that wasn't my point (I actually forgot I had him on my CQ team), I am just interested to see how he goes this year. I'm not expecting him to do well at said giro, maybe even more of a domestique.

velorooms draft. You have him down as N.Przemyslaw and i didnt find him through search so had to read each pick 1 by 1 to find out who had him:D

Though come to think of it, it might have been jsg.

Oh I see, yeh I'm not sure don't remember. Think a few people were updating it.

Average pick anyway ;) :p

Basso has just won the Giro:eek:

Ryo won't like you looking over Rujano and Henao that much . Besides their will still be plenty of guys going for it at the giro. Is Purito doing it? I seem to remember him saying he was doing the Giro-Vuelta combo again this year

Levi should do it. This may be his chance for a GT.

But, of course, he'll shoot for a 7th place in the Tour.

Not a bad idea, leave the 7th placing in the tour to Tony Martin and chase the Giro.

Looking good for Liquigas, except Androni is going wreak havoc on this years race.
