Now Alberto is out, who will win the 2012 Tour de France?

Thought we needed another thread & poll because the circumstances have now changed from the thread which was the same topic.

I apologise if I have left out any obvious choices

No poll?

I want Samu or Nibs for the win, but it'll probably Evans, Wiggo or Andy. I don't know who I prefer. Frankly, I dislike all of them.
Well the fact that Evans is number 1 favourite means he could be equal on titles by the end of the year with Alberto :p

(just screwing with ya)

i'd like it to be

1. Gesink
2. Scarponi
3. S.Sanchez

but it will be

1. A.Schleck
2. Evans
3. Menchov

Since you included Cobo in your poll, Froome should have been there as well. Anyway, I'm going with Evans. Had Contador been there in top shape Evans would've been quite far off on the GC I think (between 4th and 8th) but since Contador is not present there won't be any serious pace up the mountains. Wiggins also has a good chance now, but Evans should be able to put some time on him, not only in the mountains but mainly in the hills and in some descents.

Yes and that makes me mad. Everyone with a brain knows Alberto is better than Evans.
I am a fan of Evans and consider that he could very well be a doper and you can't consider Alberto doped and then you are making those types of comments...wow!

Ideal:
1. Jesus
2. Samu
3. CJ (just because he cracks me up)

I'd like (and a bit more realistic):

1. Samu
2. Scarponi
3. Nibs

What I think it will be:

1. Cuddles
2. Andy baby
3. Wiggo

:(

I hope Menchov can crack top 3 though. I'll cheer for him if my other favourites don't have a chance anymore.

Also, I do NOT want either Evans or Andy baby to equal the number of Alberto's Tour wins (even though he totes still has won 3)

Voted Wiggins only through national Bias, depends on form but cant see past Evans,Wiggins,Menchov FTW
Looking at it logically Evans has to be favourite hes won it for starters plus the short uphills and descents as someone else already alluded too are probably where the difference is made.

I hope so. I'll cry if Wiggo wins.

If Wiggo (or Mencov) wins it's a good indication that the race was BS, though i'd prefer Wiggo over Denis. Menchov is just stronger GT rider in my view.

I went with Cuddles, rather than letting national bias get the better of me.

(and because if Cuddles becomes the overwhelming favourite then IMO it increases the chances of him choking :p)

(actually this could be a great year for tantrums with Evans under a lot of pressure, Wiggo and Cav and Froome, Radioshrek's cast of thousands.)

I can see Leechheimer on the podium - although now he's on a decent team, this doesnt bother like it would have done previously.
