Well people claim that Kuss won the Vuelta because of X so...

Hopefully my point was clear, and you are juts playin'.

How could I be mistaken? His dad made a great career out of CX racing.
Yes, and his dad also dreamt of a road career, especially Roubaix, but never managed better than a top 25 (I think had he tried in a different/clinic era, he could have succeeded). And his dad also dreamt of an Olympic medal, which was not possible in CX because it was never acknowledged as an Olympic sport. He even tried to switch to MTB just for the Olympics. I think his dad might be the first to say, that if he can make it on the road and needs to sacrifice CX in order to do so, not to have a second thought about it.

Also, thousands of ignorant people retweeting and replying on X is not exactly the same as two people voicing their opinion on a forum that is read by only the hardcore fans. He can do what he wants, but we are allowed to have an opinion about it and this is the place to voice those.

Completely agree, but my opinion is focused on the human, not just the numbers, which is really my point today.

Are you talking about yourself now? It's you who has been trying to shut the discussion down more than once because people have a different opininon, while i simply raise arguments and voice an opinion.
I don't have an opinion one way or the other in regards to him doing the Vuelta. If you can't see the fact that it is you continually telling everyone else that Nys himself should have a different opinion, I don't know what to tell you. 🙄

No you don't have an opinion about him riding the Vuelta, you just have an opinion about people who actually have one and discuss it on a ... * gasp * online discussion platform... about professional cycling... in the thread meant for discussing the subject at hand.

I did not know i had that kind of power. Here i was, thinking i was just giving my opinion and having a discussion with other people.

.
I have to say, if I could choose one competitive cycling discipline to be really good at, CX might be the last one I'd choose. Just painful and usually crappy weather
Also keep in mind cyclocross is absolutely humiliating for most participants. You are off the back almost immediately, you can't coast!! If you stop pedaling you stop and fall over. The obstacles don't get longer or taller, less steep but it feels like that only a few minutes in. You get lapped, it kills your soul a little and people you like, love, know, don't know, yelling " keep it up " " push yourself " " eye of the tiger" " you are not that far back " you should at least try " " no more donuts " " it's your bike " " you need a aero helmet " " you are really slow" give up " " sell your bike "..
The list sticks with you forever!! And when you finish there is a number next to your name indicating how many fewer laps you did than the winner. Cyclocross is worse than prison. The equivalent of pulling your own teeth out w pliers ..a terrible sport I wish I never did it!! And never car pool!! You don't want to be in a vehicle with people saying how fun the race was,how good they felt... Yuck

I think you could be gravely mistaking.
With great power comes great responsibility... and a dash of internet arguing!!
Try this at an upcoming party, when someone casually asks " hey what's up! How ya doing? "
You answer "I feel my equilibrium is off because of the obvious increase in barometric pressure, and I possibly am experiencing an insulin spike because of the small amount of tequila I smelled as I walked passed those people "
