Call me crazy, but it seems to me Vingegaard is starting his season riding stage races differently this year.

It's no longer en "inexperienced" captain needing heavy support and riding a controlled/controlling race, but rather a Pogacar-style captain doing it by himself, even long range.

It is a style of riding which will help him start to contest hilly 1-day races, in a not too distant future :)

He rode every stage race last year this way as well, except for Paris-Nice where he wasn't that good. He just never gets credit for it.

He rode like this last year as well and no, Pogacar, Van der Poel etc. will still murder him if he decides to focus more on one day races

Jonas must have been reading this forum where Remco and Pog gets so much love and admiration for attacking from afar

But i guess the majority on here dont care about Jonas
Got 0 credit for attacking Tourmalet with 60km to go while Pog making 1km attacks was the best thing since the invention of pineapple pizza.

People decide who they like first before then they retroactively point at 'rational' reasons for why they like someone
