I will post dates up of the other national championships at a later time.

Forgive my ignorance, but does that mean Ben King only gets to wear the jersey for 10 months? (Notwithstanding a successful defence of his title, of course ;))

having a late season champs, is fine having an early/mid season champs is fine. but moving it from late to early is harsh on the holder, i don't know how many race days he's done in the jersey, but it isn't as many as he earned when he won it.

LOL, wish Phil wins, but seems the course is not for him

+1. Would also be nice to see a showing from De Gendt and Vanmarcke. Could be made for an in-form Boonen, or a crazy outside bet like Van Staeyen, Bille, Caethoven or Baugnies. I find it hard to get excited about Belgian races outside of Feb-Apr! ;)

De Gendt & Van Marcke: yes!

Van Staeyen, Bille, Caethoven, Baugnies: please no! I sincerely dislike mediocre riders winning a national title. I can still remember Ludovic Capelle and Geert Omloop.

Should be going to the british nationals, it being only about 20 miles or so north of us.

Buff Soldier: yes, I forgot about Steegmans (easy to do). So yes why not, for old time's sakes? :)

Dus Stijn voor de derde keer! ;)

:) No thanks. It's time for Gilbert to honor the jersey, despite it not being his course.

Last year the US champs were on the 19th of September. So it's only 8 months and a week (and about half of that in the off-season).

The new spot certainly fits better, with many riders staying around after California; and someone had to get the short spell in the jersey to make the switch. Had it been a "bigger" rider like Hincapie (for whom the US title isn't quite as big as it must have been for Ben King), I would feel better about it.

Go Ben King, do it once more!

Lovely Ootmarsum.
Hoping all day Rabo will fuk it up again.

Hehe Terpstra winning last year was fun :)
They do have some competition this year again, but normally they should win it.

Anyone has a profile of the dutch championship? I checked the site, but all I could see was a tiny image with a profile that looked like stage 15 of the Giro...
That's quite impossible :D
