Olympic track Tickets

The prices are per session, the different rates are for location in the seating plan. Your £20 seats will be in the top rows at the back straight and banking, behind pillars and large belgian men with big hats, and they will get more expensive for seats where you can see the track :). I'd like to know how and why they are planning to charge £60, £40 and £20 for the road races and triathlons. Maybe for the finish / transitions area?

There was meant to be some sort of control on hotel room prices during the Olympics, some agreement that they couldn't charge more than their normal rate.
Not sure that helps though - as the 'normal rate' is pretty exorbitant anyway.

Those ticket prices make no sense. Are they really saying that some of the athletics tickets are $1200 per night?

Thats actually surprisingly low. In Football, thousands of fans are known to spend thousands and thousands for one match, all the time. And Britain has made Usain Bolt into Muhamed Ali, so i wouldnt be surprised if for the 100 and 200m final, $1200 will be the worse seats.

I know there are can be expensive tickets from scalpers, but face value? It seems absurd. Even the face for the Superbowl is $500

What a joke. You have to pay for the road race and TT! Or is this just for special grandstand seating?? And you can stand everywhere else on the course for free?
