Another stage for the breakaway?
Will we see any action from the GC contenders here?

Maybe Haussler if it comes back together. Hopefully Garmin will chase down the break for him. He was incredibly strong today. Otherwise ill go with maybe fedrigo from a break.

Hoping for a GC climbing battle between Valverde, Wiggins, Westra, Leipheimer, and Van Garderen, Monfort, and maybe a few other climbers. Maybe Van Garderen will go away on Col de Vence and descend into the finish like on stage 2 of the US pro challange.

Valverde for the win from a small group. Could be a pretty good stage if some riders try and take back some time on Wiggins on the cat 1.

I think sky is too strong for that to happen unfortunately. I think the break might take this.

If it is a breakaway that wins, put your money on Amael Moinard being in it. Should be a fun stage.

pshh Fedrigo dusts Moinard every time. :p I would've said Voeckler too, but then remembered something...

Fedrigo and a Vaconsoleil rider ( maybe De Gendt for the polka dots ) to be good in the break. I think riders like Jeanesson/ TJVG could go well. I think if there is a small group Valverde could win. If Haussler stays over the climb he could win as well ( he looks ominous- in my view looks in better form than Farrar- M-SR here he comes )

Which team does Moinard race for? Oh, I see.... which poster posted the guess?

Wish you would get outside the BMC box once in a while, ACF - unless it's just trolling.

60+kms from the top of the final climb, to the Nice finish?
Descending skills needed for keeping safe, not for winning.

Bound to be a French frenzy of breakaway boys from them and the other Fail teams.

Complete joke of a stage.

We now are blessed with two such stages, today.

Wiggins is safe on this stage. Even if he gets dropped on the last climb, it won't be by much, and it's too long to the finish. He will time-trial it back, probably with Porte and maybe Uran.

Why oh why do they place a Cat 1 climb 60 kliks from the finish. Is it July already:( Anyway, a French free for all today I reckon. Just placed a wee bet on a head to head, Chavanel over Lulu:)

Yeah, a 50 k descent, it's really nothing ;)

Looking at the map, I wonder why they don't leave out Tourrettes-sur-Loup, climb the Col de Vence from the other side, and go straight down towards Nice.

And if that would make the stage shorter than people wanted, you could always include the Col d'Èze in the final, or another climb in the area. Would be a much more decisive stage.

I hope favorites like westra, or riders further down may go. the downhil is very technical and long and leipheimer and wiggins suck in it. especially leipheimer
