Oomlop was good. Just like some of the other warm up races. A few cobbled riders kicking their preperation off.

But everyone knows Paris Nice is where it all begins.

The Hard Classics riders of the North. The GT armies of the South. Trains of Sprinters from the West. Hard domestiques from the East.

All will answer ASO's call. All descend on Paris. All bring their A game (apart from Andrew of course ;))

The season of warm up is over

I predict a big twist as we go to the first ad break.


A cyclist is seen riding a long. His facial features are obscured. Instead the camera cuts from his legs to his bike to his back to his shoes to his wheel, obscure style.

then the camera slowly goes up from the wheel. The first words are heard.

" Im Thor Hushovd, sprinter for Garmin cervello", just as the camera makes it onto his face to reveal it really is him.

I love Paris-Nice to bits. But let's be honest. Look at that profile. This is NOT the moment I've been waiting for at all. That's grotesque.

The season starts in a few days with the better parts of Paris-Nice (though it kind of already started in the Algarve and Tour Med).
