would seem as if italy have had more positives than any other country in the post-lance era.
didn't they get the memo? (9 ITA's on that sanction list, vs. e.g. 8 RUS, and only 3 ESP)

anyway, that sanction list is rather interesting.

also saw on that sanction list that Stefan van Dijk got a second ban (hence total of 8 years) for ozone therapy, the same **** Kittel was on a few years back when it was not prohibited yet.

Belgian federation trying to show off how strong their anti-doping policy is. An 8-year ban for an already retired 37-year old rider whose biggest win is a stage in Eneco tour.. how sad is that

Lots of Italians getting popped lately. Did no one tell them it is no longer cool to dope and doping stopped in 2006?

It seems (I dont have any source...) that italian cycling federation found some money for a "wide range" doping test going from juniors to even master.
That would explain why suddenly so many positive results (double pun).

And it's perfect isn't it? Sanction low-level athletes who likely cannot afford an expensive defense that may discover other loopholes like Impey's contamination scheme. Meanwhile the Boonens and whomever on the WT attracts a really big audience never test positive.

I'll take it though. it's a little tiny bit of progress.
