Reading "Moderators" and "Member Suspension Appreciation/Depreciation Thread" I've got an impression that banning criteria isn't always firm and objective, often based on subjective interpretations.
So I think the abolition to the banned members would be a sign of good will before the biggest cycling event and a way of enriching the forum.
Banned members have already given their contribution during the off season, when activity of the forum isn't as intensive as it is during the Tour, so it would be fair to give them a chance to participate in discussions during the sport's most prominent and important event.

Sign in if you support the abolition.

Don't worry or get too many papers printed out for the petition, they'll all be back. Well at least for a post or two :D

All in for Le Tour would make this place readable in the least. Trying to institute some sore of journalistic integrity here in a discussion forum is comical considering the state of the CN web headlines these days.

Or create a no holds bared forum section and let the cussing begin.

A forum with fewer rules and fewer people managing so called rules would ultimately police itself better anyway.

Yes to amnesty and abolition

Its the best idea since 180crank retired

You do realize what has been said there doesn't make proper sense. I think I understand the intent - which is to remove the abolition (unban), but that's not what he said. So, I'm signing in, because I'm supporting the abolition.

The mods would rather manage this place like they wear a rain coat in the shower. something about pride and journalistic integrity etc...

Just separate one forum section. No holds bared no ring no ref no rules. take your smack talk into the regular forums and you are out.

After all we all pretend to be so close to the peloton, at least allow us to talk to each other like we are in the main pack or yoyoing in the autobus

dude do we really want a load of trolls and sockpuppets on the forum?

Well, we require a banned trolls/members amnesty to counter the existing sockpuppets/ trolls/idiots for some healthy debate. All we get now is people agreeing with each other and its dull as ****.

We could always ask jojo to talk about history in every thread. :D ( we are lucky that he is not in to science :p)

I kinda like history and that he always include how the Romans were defeated just to troll me :D

I'm still researching the history and demise of the Belgian Empire in Africa. I'll bring this up at some point for the attention of Jojo when I've got any clue of what the hell they were doing out there in the first place

Interestin' that you'd think so, but it seems a stretch to this child. . .

So, slim chances for abolition... Whatever.
But it's nice to see prominent members giving support to the idea.
