I thought it would be a good idea to list evdience that will help Kimmage in his case against defamation from Tweedledee and Tweedledum aka Verbruggen and McQuaid.

It might also help those new to the clinic to understand the depths these 2 idiots have corrupted the sport

Just a list what you think points to UCI assisting covering up doping positives.

Good idea Benotti.

I won't post the obvious such as Verbruggen falsely denying on multiple occasions that Armstrong has ever tested positive, completely ignoring the 1999 cortisone and EPO positives, as well as Lance's bloodpassport which should have flagged a positive for 2009(10?).

It's gonna be very interesting, though, to see who Kimmage's team can get in the witness stand.
Vrijman? (e.g. who paid Vrijman for his report?)
Schenk? (what about that 500.000?)

Or even better: can Kimmage get Phat into the witness stand to answer questions about Verdrug'm? Would be cool if Phat and Hein would be interrogated separately, and would come up with different accounts of certain events.

EDIT:
Just saw Gooner's post. Excellent idea. Indeed, I've seen Seppelt comment on national TV two days ago, and he wasn't beating around the bush. Indeed he spoke about the Contador positive being shoved under the table. Indeed, Kimmage c/should approach Hajo Seppelt. Definitely!
+1 to poupou's suggestion as well.

If this Swiss canton's court procedures are consistent the rest of the First World both Verbruggen and McQuaid would have been required to file their evidence under a sworn affidavit against Kimmage to commence proceedings.

They are open to cross examination on their affidavits and evidence.

Their conduct as executives of the UCI will be open to scrutiny.

One of their problems is their public responses to media probing which has thrown doubt on their conduct as UCI executive officers. Kimmage can subpoena UCI and personal records relating to these reports.

Examples. McQuaid and Verbruggen were all over the place about the Armstrong donations. Verbruggen likewise about the millions in "bribes" from the Japanese Keirin body. Payment and source of funding for the Vrijman report (Armstrong?).

Not exactly. The action against Paul has only been suspended while 'an external commission is established to examine "various allegations made about UCI relating to the Armstrong affair".

So Paul Kimmage's ordeal looks to be extended into next year as the investigation runs.

Is it wrong that Pat McQuaid knew on July 11 who would be hosting the final winner's party for the Tour?

Please hit me so my head stops spinning.

It's probably something innocant about Sky inviting him for a party with an elaborate whisky bar, regardless they'll win or lose. Right. RIGHT?

If I'd win the stupid race, I'd make a point of not throwing a party. But inviting the UCI hotshots to a very remote area to see if they can find the party.

If they were rank outsiders, that would have been dynamite.

There was still 10 days or so to go - even if they had the yellow the confidence or matter-of-fact air with which he said it still left me incredulous.

If Greg Lemond really does have "a file" on the UCI I think he'd share the wealth, with PK, no?

Yes. In fact GL suggested Paul not even attend in Switzerland, and use the fund instead to "fight back", offering his file as a starting point? It was all in the letter.

There is a long time ago, UCI gave a letter to riders describing how to beat tests and asking them not to do that.

paul kimmage is a competent journalist...........me thinks that he will come up with more info than us

Yeah, I would think the fact that any court isn't literally laughing this nonsense out of said court is more a reflection of the clowns presiding over that court.

Why can't the defense just be laughter and GTFOH! I'm only half joking.

does anyone know where the main Paul Kimmage thread went???

There is a dialog, and an understandable explanation in the Moderator thread.

Apologies to everyone on this Board as I believe that I was the first to insert the story of particular concern into the Kimmage thread.

My comment was something to the effect that there is so much corruption and inconsistency within the UCI, that the overlapping timeframe of that story with the Kimmage suit was not surprising.

I am upset as well, knowing the work that I put into documenting various events, quotes, anecdotes and other facts into the Kimmage thread. Others put in at least as much effort as I did.

Again, my apologies to everyone.

Hopefully that thread can somehow be salvaged, or otherwise made accessible, even if locked.

Dave.

they took it down because of a legal firm in Australia?

one frigging post and they took an entire thread on one of the most important things happening in cycling now? that is inane!

i understood them deleting the XZTT threads because the mods are obviously too busy (non-existent?) to remove the "name" (though you'd think with search it wouldn't be so difficult to replace it with "name withheld"), but this... this!

not mad at you, Dave, mad at CN.
