My friend recently got an SRM. It previously had one owner....an HTC-Colombia rider. Where are you able to buy SRMs after the season where riders have to give them back? Is this possible?

Its entirely possible.

One friend of mine bought Scott moninger's bike straight after a race in Australia (Melbourne to Warrnambool) because it was the end of the year and Scott couldnt see the point in paying to ship it back to US when he was about to get a new one.

also, another person I know has a power meter that has C. Evans written on the back of the head unit.

It all depends on the contracts. A lot of pro contracts say that they get to keep the equipment at the end of the season, for instance.

Quite plausible

If you wander around the team tents at the Herald-Sun Tour, most of the teams have "for sale" signs hanging off second hand bikes, wheels, team gear - and it's usually going cheap.

Unfortunately I'm a [poor] New Zealander, so I won't be able to see them!
