Here it comes AGAIN ! Marginal GAINS !

Not content with " Injectable EPO " , Scientists are scrambling to develop and market new " Red Cell Blood Boosters "!

Of course GlaxoSmithKline (GSK ) are reported to be in contact with WADA !

That's all right then ? The other company , Japanese Company named " Astellas " , no doubt will get around to cooperating !

People have been wondering what will replace " EPO " , now we know !

How many " Athletes " , have already found a way to acquire these products ? Doubt that these " Drug Companies have " Employees " , that are so " Lily White Clean " , that a few bob hasn't already changed hands ?

With the huge investment needed to develop a NEW Drug Range " , there would be leaky seives , regardless of the efforts to keep research results " In House "?

Wonder who will be the first " Athlete " , popped ? Or which SPORT ?

I reckon race cyclists who used EPO are more likely to suffer amnesia

"Well, that's a myth. I never actually raced against Lance Armstrong, in my whole reign really. I raced once against him in the Criterium International in 2004 and never in the Tour de France. Er, so that was the only time really."

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen in the clinic. Ever.

the company itself isn't so lilywhite clean

GSK was fined $3bn (£2bn) in 2012 in the biggest healthcare fraud in US history after it admitted paying medics to prescribe the drug for children although it was not intended for under 18s, while it also pushed its Wellbutrin drug for uses for which it was not approved.

Johnson & Johnson and Amgen have similar stories / fines for pushing EPO in similar fashions.

And that article highlights how stupid a comment it was. You do not get drugs from a drug company, they come from a doctor or pharmacist.

Drug companies are scumbags if you want to personify them, they do everything they do for profit and will push as far as they can until they are caught, such as paying people to prescribe their drug.

They will not, however, sell drugs directly to users. That would be monumentally stupid, just like the suggestion is. The QP who signs off each batch is responsible for it and their job, and massive salary, is guaranteed without being tied to sales. They would stand to lose everything and gain nothing from doing such a thing.

That article is damning, and it happens with many drug companies, but to suggest that these companies would supply controlled pharmaceuticals to anyone they shouldn't be is ridiculous.

Also, many of the pills you take.injections you use etc. are not made by Glaxo/Astra/Lilly et. al., the production is outsourced.
