. RAITALIA presents a rich and varied selection of the best shows from its three Italian networks, including the latest series, variety shows and cultural events, as well as live news and Series A Soccer coverage.
$9.99/mo.

My question is would it be worth the money during cycling season to subscribe?
I don't have many European choices and no English. I know rai broadcasts cycling

Get Rai sport 1 or 2 if can.
I loved Rai sport 1 they had Giro 15 hours daily:eek::eek:, I am not sure for other non Italian races cos I have followed them on Eurosport, TDF for sure they are covering.
Michele, Zam Zam or other nice looking Italian should knows better. I am only saying my thoughts.

P.S. Italian series rocks!Nice chicks, home furniture, cars and of course clothes;)

If he's just talking about cycling, then Davide Casani (ex-pro from 82-96) is very good to listen to and knows how to explain a bike race inside and out. Auro Bulbarelli used to co-comentate, but now has gotten into the directional end of Rai sport television. Auro added a cultural perspective to the regions and sites the races went through and passed. In addition his enthusiastic way of yelling the finish of races was invigorationg. His shouting out Bettini's Worlds and Olympic victories was memorable. The guy that replaced him is decent though, but not as good.

You see all the major classics and the Giro-Tour, but not the Vuelta unless on pay TV, plus the Worlds. If you know Italian then it's certainly worth it.

You can get Rai channels for free on Satellite, and they aint that hard to pick up. They are broadcast on 13.0e and a dish the same size as a Sky one will do the job.
For example a "suitcase satellite system" such as sold in Aldi, B&Q and Lidl for about £60 will then get you all these channels for free.

I have Dish network receiver and dish. I'll look for suitcase satellite on google.
Aldi, B&Q and Lidl might as well be in greek I take it they are stores. If I got a suitcase satellite could I also pick up eurosport?

I thought Rai offered outside Italy is a compilation of various programs from Rai domestic channels, and as such, it doesn't necessarily show cycling. I don't think I recall seeing cycling in their programming, and if they do they might not even be live...

From their description that's what it looks like to me too.
I'll wait and check out the program guide when the season starts up.
I really want to watch on the new HD TV:D

Ive watched cycling on the Rai satellite channels before. Yes its possible to pick up Eurosport from Germany on a Suitcase satellite system, but that channel is from a different satellite - 19.2e.
