The poll is about the very best edition in your opinion, but what really matters are the ranking of the last ten (or however many you've watched) editions of the Tour de France.

It's quite difficult, I think, so take your time and change your ranking as many times as you you want ;)

PS: Please state how many you've watched if you haven't watched them all!

2016 was the worst one by far. 2017 isn't far, then 2009 and 2012. 2010 had the awesome cobbles stage and a close race between top contenders but other than that... I think I might even put 2011 ahead, even though two-thirds of it sucked. Of the Froome Tours, I guess 2013 was the best one?

Just thinking out loud here, no ranking yet.

It's between '08 and '10 for me.

'08 was CSC in their prime dominating the GC, but using their surplus in numbers in an agressive fashion by relying on different leaders. I very much liked to see that and Sastre's win on L'Alpe and Evans' jersey loss on a previous stage still stands as great memories. I do think Contador would have won, had Astana been at the Tour, so the circumstances didn't allow the best rider to be at the start list unfortunately.

'10 was just an insane and close battle between Contador and Schleck. Especially the stage that ended in St Jean de Maurienne after the tough ascent of Col de la Madeleine is the one I am somehow always reminded of, whenever I think of Andy and Contador's (all too short) rivalry.

It has to be '10 when I think about it.

Wasn't yet watching cycling in 2008 and missed majority of 2011 due to real life commitments. Out of the others it can only be 2010. Real suspensful fight for yellow and no single team able to suffocate racing.

2014 felt a bit like a breether after two consecutive Sky parades. Battle for yellow ended with Contadors crash, but I really enjoyed the fight for lower podium places that year.

2010 and 2011 neck to neck, but 2011 came first to my mind because of Andy's long range attack, the final TT, Contador long range attack and the miracle that was Voeckler in yellow for so long! :D 2010 was also great though, a true mano-a-mano between Andy and Alberto

2010 and 2008 were the best of a bad, bad bunch.

2011 I remember the consensus back then was that it had the worst most boring first 16 days of any Tour, with some decent last days after that. Mostly due to Contador's attacks and their consequences (forcing Schleck to attack)

I think '15 edges '13.

2008 was back then a bit meh, but still much better than a lot of what has come since then, I think. Last one as well with doping scandals during the race.

Voted 2010 but the off bike drama for 2009 and cobbles stage of 2014 are both noteworthy.

I admit I did it wrong. I voted for 2013 instead of 2011 which I thought it was the best.

I thought 2010 was bad edition and it has so many votes. I wonder why???

Contador at his best vs Schleck at his best - two climbers battling it out, so far ahead of the competition.
Beautiful to watch.
None of the 6-GC-riders-sprinting-at-the-end-of-every-mountain-stage we got this year.

Ah!
Thanks. I forgot about it.

I loved 2009. I know most don't. I'm a huge Cav fan, I loved seeing AC dominate of course, I liked watching LA lose. I enjoyed 2010 as well, but I didn't watch as much of it. Maybe that's why 2009 sticks with me.

I don't like the Tour very much so hard to put them in a order.

Just noticed that I have now already watched ten tours (2008 kohl got third place for around one month so whole Austria watched that tour). I voted 2010 but tbh there wasn't really one outstandingly good tdf in the last ten years so there are many reasonable votes

2016. Cavendishs 4 wins in a very sprinter unfriendly route was by far the most exciting and best performance of the last 11 tours.

The GC was very weak between 2006 and 2012 with such a week field it is hard to take those tours seriously. There is not a GC contender during those tours that could reasonably contend for a poduim against todays GC field while now it is just the opposite with 20 or so riders that could have easily poduimed in any of those weak rider tours if not won outright. You had riders like Voeckler, Sastre, Perrerrio, Contador, Evans who have never ever before or since contended at the Tour winning or coming clise because of the depleted field. Fine riders in their own right but never tour contenders.

I don't buy this weak GT field stuff honestly. What you're saying basically is Lance and Ullrich would have smoked any of these guys? I don't believe it would have been that simple even. AC Tour 09 or Giro 11 would have been hard for them to handle. Other than those two, I don't see how the winners or contenders (Sastre, Rasmussen, Schleck, Evans, etc.) were weaker than other competition around in the early 00's like Basso, Beloki, Mayo, Vino.

Also, how you can vote 2016 is beyond me. I fell asleep damn near every day watching that.
