6 I think. There were some incredible stages, but there were also some extremely boring ones. The GC fight never really got interesting either, and the fight for secondary places was very dull as well. On the plus side, we're witnessing history in the making and there were some individuals who stood out (Pogacar obviously, but also Abrahamsen, Carapaz and even Girmay despite "just" being a sprinter).

8. It was a spectacle of cycling superstars (Pogi, Vingo, Remco and Rogla for half of it) we've been waiting for. We had good/great GC stages (like 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th and 15th because of legendary performances). The biggest drawback was that there was no fight for GC win to the very end. After stage 15 Pogacar's advantage was too big to call it a tightly contested race anymore. However, there was still some anticipation regarding stage 19 (and possible Vingo's attack). Vingo's participation made it a much more exciting race, otherwise Pog would have been called a winner after a few days.

Here's a thought..... does anyone prefer the finish being outside of Paris.

I thought Nice was a beautiful finale for the Tour and obviously the landscape nearby gives more opportunity for an exciting finale.

Would you like to see the Tour finish on other cities outside of Paris??
Champs Elyses has become iconic and I think it would be wrong to remove it from the Tour.

That said I get your point. Nice is an amazing city, the scenery is great, it's surrounded by mountains that can be used in the race. In some ways it was a more beautiful ending than Champs Elyses.

you can't beat paris for the pomp & pageantry, I much prefer a boring crit race to a last day TT - my nerves aren't what they used to be. But it was nice to have it elsewhere for a change.

Not surprised by the variety of votes, but I have gone with an 8. Fantastic 1st week, maybe the best I can recall in Le Tour, some memorable stages in the 2nd and 3rd week too, for different reasons (PDB, stage 11, stage 17). Le Lioran stage is funny to look back on, as the general consensus was that this is the turning point of the race, at least that's how it felt on twitter. Bini, Abrahamsen, Cav's #35, Bardet as the 1st yellow holder, and of course Pogacar flying in pyrenees and alps, again, a lot of memorable moments and stories.

Of course, the big disappointment was the fact that GC was basically over after stage 15, unless Jonas launched a long range attack at Bonette, and he did not, and that stage was to me the most underwhelming thing in this race simply because I expected him to at least try to send it at Bonette and UAE was in total control mode whole time.

I really enjoyed this race, Bonette-Isola stage was the only time I was disappointed, as I was hoping Jonas would at least try a long range attack, but it is what it is.

So again, sucks that the GC battle ended relatively early, sucks that Roglic had to abandon, but I still really enjoyed the race. Happy for Remco too, really great performance all around, proved many wrong here, and the ceiling is much higher than this.

It's a shame it was never really a close battle in 2022, 2023 and neither now between Pogacar and Vingegaard (and 2021 too obviously, but no one really even thought about it before the race so I don't think it even counts), but despite that, to me, a 3rd very good Tour edition in a row. With 2022 being the best of these. Now let's hope they both arrive at 100% next year..

4 I think, a touch below average but better than the Giro, would've been 5 if that Direct Energies guy had won that stage.

Some of the stages were pretty good, I enjoyed a lot of the break formations and Bardet/Turgis' win was nice but there was no real GC fight, it looked like it could be interesting after Puy Mary but it turns out that was just a blip, hard to suspend belief at times which doesn't help.

Mas, Yates and Carapaz trying to out sh*thouse each other in the last week on climbs was pretty funny, in an alternative reality that would be the big GC battle, but unfortunately cycling has changed. Vuelta will be good though, hopefully UAE and Visma send their dev teams instead.

This feels like Dutch Parliamentary elections where I get 10 options and the least worst option still makes me wanna throw up
I've seen your ballots. You get way more than 10 options.
