Rear Hub Maintainance

I noticed some play in my rear wheel last week.

So, I took apart my hub and gave it a good greasing over and now I am not convinced its right. The free hub doesnt seem to spin very well, it seems to be rather stiff.

I have done my MTB rear wheels a few times and no worries. I got my MTB freehub off using a 10mm key, however, I cant seem to do that with my road ones.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Different hubs different advice. Who makes the hubs you are using? What model? Have you tried You tube? Seriously you did not tell us much except that you once maintained another hub that was different.
Fulcrum and Campy wheels have videos on You tube and I watched the fulcrum 0, 1, 2, 3 hub rebuild video for the technique for my ShaMal wheel bearing change. The fulcrum and Campy wheels share many of the same spec and parts.
