Personally I feel this is a trumped up rivalry. Roglic really doesn't seem to care that much. I think his rivalry is more with Pogacar.

Roglic has no rivals, only proteges.
He lead Pogi to his success and was happy about his compatriot's victories (most importantly it stays in SLOVEnia!).
He was the first to predict that Vinge will win the Tour one day. He taught him a lot and helped on the TdF roads.
Now he's teaching Remco how to race properly. Time will tell if his apprentice is ready to face the master at the Giro or more lessons are needed (last year's Vuelta lesson was cancelled due to Wright guy).

There's so many remco beliebers. I don't understand why, because like you said, the other main riders don't have hardcore fans like him. They have a lot of fans, but they are rational fans.
Once you see the light, you will believe it also! Or maybe just check what the kid has done since he decided to sit on a bicycle. Don't focus on the result but on the performance itself. Ask De Gendt, Valverde, Pedersen, Cyrille Guimard and many others from the cycling community what they have seen because many also jumped on the bandwagon.

Now that Remco has won the giro and we don’t have to get distracted by that side issue, can we turn our heads to the really important question: Who has the best body at the giro? I would say Oumi but I’m sure @Skijumper Roglic fan has other ideas
I just read the startlist once again and actually found none of the starters with an exceptionally good body, by bodybuilding standards… TdF will be much better, but I fear we‘ll have to wait for Vuelta to see Welsford in the next GT…
