In terms of becoming a world class rider, Miguel Lopez will be one in 2016. Just like Tiesj Benoot and Gaviria.

And watch out for Woods, Vakoc, Nielsen, Moscon and Soler.

Dombrowski will finally live up to his potential and shine in a GT (hopefully the Giro).
Sebastián Henao will really break out, or at least that's what I hope. Mohoric should finally be able to do something. I don't know too much about Neopros, but Moscon would be a good pick, Robert Power could surprise people in one week races.
Hopefully Herklotz and Mühlberger will do well.

Cort? Or some Norwegian?
If you mean Cort he won't really be a revelation; already proved his talent pretty well.

Gaviria will challenge the big boys in some sprints and will also be good in some 1day races.

Lopez will impress in some mountain stages.

Colombia dominates cycling world with Quintana winning Le Tour!

Not sure, but I think I read somewhere that Robert Power is out for atleast 2 years with some kind of rare bone disease. Orica said they will give him all the time he needs to recover.

Edit:
Found something. http://www.greenedgecycling.com/news/powers-debut-with-orica-greenedge-postponed.phps

"diagnosed the 20-year-old with Bone Marrow Oedema Syndrome – a form of bone stress with an MRI appearance similar to a bone bruise but not related to trauma and without obvious explanation."

“Whilst it’s extremely uncommon, the condition is well described in the medical literature and unfortunately there is no ‘cure’. What we do know, however, is that it will heal itself in time. The big question is when and the literature says it’s could be anywhere between four and 24months.”

So not for sure 2 years, but it could actually take 2 years... Let's hope he will heal faster then that.

As an American. I will be watching Dombrowski. I'm hoping he has a big season. He seems to have recovered well from his arterial leg surgery. Last year he showed steady improvement. So will see this year if he can shine in the Mountains of a GT?

Ill be looking out for Ruben Fernandez. From the looks of it, I think he can develop into a very solid 1-week racer already next year like Ion Izaguirre. I hope he will be given relatively freedom in some races which could suit him well, fx. Paris-Nice.

I also expect Dayer Quintana so show off some of his climbing like he did in 2014. He probably won't win any races, but I could see him put in some solid performances in a race like Burgos. I dont know if he gets the nod in the Giro like this year, I hope so, and if thats the case, i expect something like Sebi Henao in 2014, maybe better, on a few of the hard mountain stages.

I wonder if they'll give him a suitable race schedule this year. With a new batch of neo-pros signed, he might not be one of the poor souls being sent to toil and suffer in Flanders.

Can any indications of Movistar's race calendar be found anywhere, or isn't it fully decided yet? I'm wondering about races like the Tour of Austria.

I'll go for Kudus and Haig to break out.
Good call. I also like the mentions of Fernandez and Pat Bevin.

The guy I expect to make a real jump is Simon Clarke. Not having to work for Gerrans should really spur him on. I look forward to seeing him race alongside Rolland TBH.

It's a shame, because second in L'Avenir at 19 suggests real talent.

I mean really break through. For sure he rode well this year, but there's another step or two to make to become a Alaphilippe or Yates twins.

Stuyven, Gougeard, and Ruben Fernandez are among riders I expect to seriously improve their standings and visibility next year.
Big surprise by neo pro will be rather unlikely, there will be sparks, but not in big races, except maybe in the last third of the year.

Whoever will break out next year, I'm very sure it wont be an Austrian
Come on, Mühlberger could do something, Patrick Konrad was 10th on the gc in Abu Dhabi and in Oman, he could surprise a few people in one week races.

Not saying Austrians don't have any good young riders, but when you expect them to finally break out they either disappoint or they get some mentions in the clinic section. Don't forget, I'm relatively young so the only Austrian rider I have seen in cycling races, who was internationally successful, was Bernhard Kohl, although you hear year after year that Austria has many juniors, who could become very successful one day.
