Cippo won every tour in the hotel but I highly doubt Alberto has that king of player in him

This is about as close to the border of Clinic material as you can get without automatically getting the thread moved there.

I am going to leave the thread where it is because the topic of recovery, etc is a valid one in the context of what Contador was actually saying. If anyone really needs to extend on the "but" in the above post, let the mods know and thread will be moved there.

Does not belong in the clinic. Trying to make something out of nothing. No way was Alberto talking about doping.

open to question! but he may have been talking about the quality of hotels and sleep deprivation from outside factors.....but he may also been insinuating about others tems doping, not him as he is a clean rider:rolleyes:

There would be no discussion if the Headline read"Contador: Key to Winning Giro is Rest and Recovery" the headline made me chuckle and had to click the link.
It's a standard story with a clever hook.
This is also being discussed in the Official "another interesting piece I found on Alberto Contador" Thread. perhaps a merger.

Since the thread exists anyway...Contador won the stage Sunday and moved into the pink jersey. If he keeps and wins the race, it will mean he's definitely been tested after at least thirteen stages in a row, and probably has a good chance on the rest day. Who knows how many times he might have been targeted earlier in the race. Plus, the no needles rules are in place, and I'd guess the Italian police are keeping an eye on the race. The CAS was to be accepting written evidence or arguments through the end of May. If Contador loses there, the UCI could win three million Euros of his 2010 salary, and a positive here would cost him money and his career.

So, if he wins the Giro while being tested every day, and I imagine, but don't know of course, that the samples would be checked for everything, and the CAS clears him, how many of you are going to believe that he's the great rider who attacked on Mount Etna, and how many will decide daily testing is a failure, and the CAS system is a failure?

Interesting to note, from Savoldelli, that when he won the Giro there weren't fines actually given for not showing up to these compulsory appearances and that at the Tour LA conceeded only one media appearance per week.

Joaquim Rodríguez (Katusha), who admitted he’s not having the Giro that he wanted, said there’s no stopping Contador.

“There’s no magic pill to stop him. It will only be him who can lose the Giro now, only if he enters a crisis,” Rodríguez said. “Maybe there’s a chance to win a stage in the final week, but Contador has the GC under control.”
