Who will be the rider(s) we should all keep an eye on who you are expecting a big year from? Try to go a bit outside the square, and PLEASE don't say TGBM unless you really mean it.

For me one rider in particular had an average year last year,so this year he will make amends and win a race or two.Steve Morabito...Team BMC..I also hope Rujano cant find his 2005 form and win a stage of the Giro.Hurry up and start season 2011.

Greg van Avermaet - very impressive in late season classics, expecting a big year from one of the former golden boys of belgian cycling.

Paul Martens - Has had some very strong rides in some one day races against some strong competition. Shuld do well. Seems to go unoticed.

maxim iglinsky.
i think he will win e3 prijs and will podium at the ronde.

riccardo ricco

igor anton

richie porte(already one of my favs)

janez brajkovic(bruyneel will do his job).expect the unexpected like contador in 2007.

Sharp.

I'm gonna be boring and say Cav. He had a quiet 2010, I think if he stays injury free he has every chance of winning M-SR, worlds and a green jersey next year.

Eddy Boss - Now in his second year at the team and had a spring completely ruined by injury. Will be interesting to see how he performs if he stays fit

Pete Kennaugh - young lad had a rough start to his pro career being injured, put in a good dauphine for his first major stage race and then had his vuelta cut short. Showed how good he was sticking with G in the nationals. Be really interested to see his race program for this year and how he develops.

Richie Porte - can he live up to the hype following this year

Taylor Phinney - Can he live up to the hype full stop

Peter Sagan - See above

Ricardo Ricco - For all the wrong reasons

Alexander Wetterhall - Young swede I hope sky might pick up one day, gone to Endura. Be interesting to see how he gets on. Former mtb'er going into his 3rd season of road racing.

i thought coppel was oficially another one of those "french hopes to wining the tour that never live up to the hype created" kind of guy.

Peter Stetina - I think TeeJay is farther along as far as the current crop of young Americans go, but I think we could see a stage win or two out of Peter this year.

Jérôme Coppel will not win the Tour. But he is still young and the French haven't yet got fully on the bandwagon enough to destroy him yet. I'm hopeful that he can have a breakout year before they crush him under the weight of expectations.

Big season for him IMO. Will he fulfil the hype (not from him) and look like the man to beat in the classics in coming years and maybe also be capable of finishing highly in TdF bunch sprints on a regular basis?

Kiserlovski

P Velits did well on leaving Milram so...

Quickstep - Ciolek
Luxembourg - Gerdemann (big team so may struggle to be a leader)

van de velde, then Wiggins then Hesjedal; could Dan Martin or Tejay van garderen be the next grand tour surprise for Garmin?

Brajkovic - ok so he won the Dauphine but in an aging RadioShack maybe he could seriously challenge for the overall in a GT?

Daaaaaaaaan Martin. While Ireland focuses on Nico trying to become a climber, in the shadows lurks a cyclist who already is one. What was once team skys only chance at a british gt winner is now irelands gain. Dino is an awesome talent. Only way is up.

Michelle Scarponi - will win a gt

All of Vacansaleil. Give them a gt, they do the rest

Frank Schleck - Lets see what would have happened had he carried that Tds form into the grandady of them all.

EBH. Was unlucky this season. Tons of 3rd and 2nd places. Despite being injured. Big things expected

Barbie- had injuries this year.

David Blanco (to Acf at least) and Fabio Duarte (to everyone)

Angel Madrazo

Gesink. Im sure he will get his GT stage win. ;)

Nof for the thread of predicting who will fail spectacularly.:)

Edit: Oh yeah and John Gadret!!!!

I'm going to do a bold guess and say Contador only gets a one year ban and wins the Vuelta right away!

Nah, wishful thinking. I really have little knowledge about beginning cyclists, but that Belgian dude that I don't know the name of who was leading the Tour de l'Avenir for a while can perhaps do something. And that American newbie that I also forgot the name of that's going to BMC.
