I agree - great riding and little traffic. We stayed in Healdsburg and also rented good quality road bikes from a Healdburg bike shop (who also provided route maps). Some nice flattish to rolling rides and some with steep hills. Only one place to have lunch on the rides we did.

You're just scratching the surface. While the weather's nice head to Occidental and ride Coleman Valley to the coast, back to Guerneville and up the Bohemian Hiway. Short loop but the best test of your ability to appreciate beauty.
When you've shed some pounds and feel really fit...start from Healdsburg and head to the Sonoma Reservoir to Tin Barn Road. You'll end up on the same amazing descent...but you still have the ride back to Healdsburg. Best done with four strong folks and a longer day. Levi claims this as his "Grande Fondo". His former teammate showed him this in his Nutri Fig days and he needed a lot of help to get home.

I've had the pleasure to ride many great roads around Sonoma, staying in Santa Rosa. Some roads are a little rough (it is wine country so not unusual). I'd go back for more in a heart beat, although I need to get fit first!
