Truly tragic, this sort of thing is getting too common :(

Ben Day on twitter described her absolutely lovely: a girl coming back from 2 major surgeries and the only problem was slowing her down.

And let's not forget how lucky JM Soler has been. I know he isn't in a good state right now, but he could have easily joined the four aforementioned riders that I have listed.

It never will. This is something that anyone who ventures outside has to deal with. Pedestrians, cyclists and drivers alike all run the risk of being injured or killed. It's a thought that's constantly in my mind - when am I going to be unlucky enough to be hit by a car (again).

This doesn't, however, lessen the impact that any family feels when they lose someone. My heart goes out to them.
