The charity London premiere of the award-winning Rwandan cycling documentary film, Rising From Ashes, takes place on 9 May at the Odeon West End, Leicester Square, London.

Narrated by Forest Whitaker, the film follows American cycling legend, Jock Boyer, when he moves to Rwanda to help a group of struggling genocide survivors pursue their dream of a forming national cycling team.

You can watch the trailer here: https://risingfromashesthemovie.com/.

Clive Owen, the ambassador for the Aegis Trust, will be hosting the event, and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker, T.C. Johnstone and members of Team Rwanda, including Adrien Niyonshuti, the first Rwandan to take part in Olympic mountain biking, at London 2012, and now a member of MTN-Qhubeka.

Also present will be four-time Ironman Champion Chrissie Wellington, and round-the-world cyclist Mark Beaumont.

All money raised from the premiere is going to help both Team Rwanda and the Aegis Trust, an anti-genocide charity that works in Rwanda.
