And this guy now flashes up out of nowhere after years of invisibility. The manager of the team has a dark cloud hanging over him and yet everyone is all smiles as he beats Clenobuterolero. This sport has more problems than it can handle. The riders remain one step ahead and the risks must be worth the reward. Amazing.:cool:

Rujano weighs something like 106lbs. I imagine the guy falls uphill. He's like a reverse Nibali. Also he didn't "beat" Contador. He was given the victory by Contador.

he;'s been of YOUR radar perhaps. but he's won 21 races in the last 2 years including vuelta colombia, vuelta venezuela and vuelta tachira. so this comes as no surprise to me. also because he's physically more talented even than contador

exactly, doping should legalised for this guy. he's riding with a permanent disadvantage (compared to 65-70 kilo riders) of roughly3 to 5%.

He'd need 650c wheels or smaller, and whilst they would be UCI legal, you'd be screwed if you ever punctured away from the team car...

I know Savio's teams are generally a bit dodgy (understatement?), but Rujano's an absolutely massive talent, with a history of being up amongst the world's best going uphill, and at 5"2' and 102-106lbs, he's always going to contend on MTF's, even if his power output's are down on Contador, purely because of the weight advantage.

As for the fitting bike, god, he'd need one the same size than Emma Pooley (Who's also another example of an awesome TINY climber), but as mentioned, i don't think the rules allow it. EDIT: As Jibber points out, 650 wheel are legal. Just don't expect any on neutral service vehicles, so got to go for standard really.

Probably lose a fair bit of efficiently there.

But, i guess we can never rule out Clinic related stuff due to the fact he's going toe to toe with Bertie. But i feel like i believe in Rujano a lot, might be a bit fanboy-ish aas to the reason why, but i just get a sense of him that's it's natural.

I'd be upset if it wasn't.

Has he every actually spoken about the topic of doping?
He stopped mid-stage a couple of times and I always wondered if it was because he was just so fed up of being beaten by riders who on paper should be struggling.

Not that it matters in 2011 (no one dopes now), but I've read on twitter that he was apparently suspended in 2003. It can't have been for long, 6 months? He was already riding for Savio at that point. Does anyone have information which could shine a light on this?

Vacan must keep in touch with the anti doping authorities, they have an impressive hit rate for hiring climbers that will not ride because of clinic issues.
