Schlecks to found new team?

Trek will be main-sponsor and the German company will be co-sponsor.

“Some” German riders are said to already have been approached about signing with the new team.
The German riders on RadioSchack-Nissan are.
Andreas Klöden, Linus Gerdemann, Jens Voigt and Robert Wagner.

So maybe a new Leopard-Trek clone is on the way.
Could be fun.

IMO It was not the teams fault - it was a stupid sponsor named Flavio Becca, who does not know anything about cycling.

Leopard Trek did just fine. That the man and the whole organization behind the team might have been total mess but the riders did fine.

RSNT on the other hand is different story.

A new German team with them would be awesome. As I really liked old Team CSC or original team Leopard Trek, that would be awesome as well, a team without Bruyneel's and Armstrong's friends .

A team like Schlecks, Cancellara, Voigt, Kloden, Gerdemann, Monfort, Zaugg, Didier, Gallopin, Fuglsang, Rast, Rohregger, Posthuma and Wagner from this year's Shack + some new riders like Jungels, Sieberg, Wegmann, Ciolek, Nerz, Knees, Martens, Arndt, Stauff, Kern, Steigmiller + maybe Greipel.. I would really liked this team..

And cycling needs a World Tour team from Germany.. Only 5 years back there were teams like T-Mobile, Milram, Gerolsteiner, Wiesenhof,.. it's sad that now the biggest German team is Team NetApp, but that's not even a true German team..

Is it really a new team? Or a continuation of the old, but with new owners (Becca out) and a new sponsor they would have to have found anyway? If it is true Gallopin and Demol would be going too it surely means the amalgamation of Leopard and RadioShack worked better than has been suggested. Surely Cancellara, Tony Gallopin, Montfort and Fuglsang would follow? What fun all this conjecture is!

Are the WT licenses tradeable assets? Leopard S.A. has two more years on their license IIRC but I have a hard time beliving that they will be around next year since RS and Nissan will leave and Becca doesn't seem to keen on funding them.

Sorry, but it´s a farce.
On the other hand, you can hardly blame them for bailing the sinking JB ship, but I also guess they both must dream about the glory days with Riis and Saxo bank and the Paradise they left behind.

Wonder if Kim Andersen don´t feel a bit bitter and perhaps won´t be so crazy about continue working with the boys, afterall, they kept their mouths shut about the merger with radioshack, even they knew about it.
