shifting problem...

Finally almost finished this rebuild of an MXLeader I have been working on over winter...and have a shifting problem I can't figure out. The groupset is pre 99 campy record...new cassette, new chain, new cable ect...9 speed ergo...

It shifts well and smoothly otherwise, yet jumps one gear in the middle of the cassette...always over the number 5 cog...just bypasses it and goes from the 6 to the 4...this on both up and down shifts...

The RD hanger is not bent at all...and I have fiddled with the B- screw abit to no avail...I am a half decent home mechanic but this one has me frustrated...could it be I need to rebuild the brifter as it seems abit mushy? any of the master mechanics out here have any ideas? Thanks...

Need to have the lever OVH. Either the little post on the spring carrier is broken, the spring carrier is split or a spring is broken...or ALL 3..

Send it to me for a one day turnaround. I have OVH hundreds of these.

$45 labor, $25 for a spring carrier(Ultra type) and shift springs. Complete front to back takeapart, clean, lube.
