Simon, you've got company.

?Dimitriy Muravyey?

You have four riders who have a shot of winning the whole enchilada and you select a rookie?

When you have riders like Noval and Horner on the sidelines, it makes you scratch your head.

If anyone thinks that 'Armstrong is running' the show' - I think this says otherwise. When Armstrong was 'the boss' he just wanted to have the best team around him. The flag after name mattered little.

But I guess if you pump tons of money (however delayed) into a team you want at least one rider from your country to ride the tour.

It will be interesting to see how Dimitriy Muravyey does. I hope he rides well.

And you think you know the condition of the Astana riders better than JB?

Did not JB use "rookies" during the LA run of 7?

Tell us something we don't know:confused:

The contract stipulates he must take 3 kazakhstanis to every major race.

They stopped doing that the moment the financial trouble started.
They're still not doing it.

So this selection is purely based on sporting grounds.
