Something Wicked This Way Comes

Borrowing from Wikipedia, ""By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes." The wicked thing is Macbeth himself, who by this point in the play is a traitor and murderer."

USA Cycling is both delaying elections, then compressing the election schedule to ram something more awful than the current grassroots racing scene down the member's throats. This is a common tactic in politics when passing something really awful into law.

It looks like your membership fees will be going up. I heard adding tons of people to a process makes it move faster and more flexible. You have been warned.

I admire your tenacity.

I wish I still had it in me to get fired up about bad decisions by USA Cycling. I'm sort of resigned to it at this point, even though I'd be happy to see my money headed elsewhere.

This is something I don't get. Federation members are perfectly okay with:

-their resources being used to fuel Tailwind's investment schemes.
-aging membership and negative member growth.
-zero growth in the number of events.
-negative growth supporting a national professional athletes economy.
-treated with disdain and neglect.

This next administrative maneuver smells so bad from so far outside the federation and yet it doesn't raise a single concern. Nothing.

I just don't get it.

Perhaps it is to enact a retroactive indemnity from prosecution for the current Administrators. Either that or the subpoeona they just received suggested they might not be available....hope abounds.
