Mods note: moved from 2025 Vuelta stage 4 thread

No, you just mis-coded. You don't need to put =hidden content inside the first set of square brackets, it goes between the two pairs.

But please follow the no swearing rule, even within spoilers
Off topic, I don't see =hidden content in my codes. Just using the tool buttons for spoiler encoding and otherwise it's just standard site web tags [SPOILER (..... ) /SPOILER] - but now it's not just "hidden" but visible pure gone?

Your message had (misspelling deliberate so as not to engage spoiler mode) [SPAILER=hidden content][/SPAILER]: I edited it to [SPAILER]hidden content[/SPAILER], with the intended result.

Tool buttons are for inline spoiler, and are working fine, with the [ISPAILER]hidden content[/ISPAILER] coding shown when BB coding toggled off.

OK thanks for reply. Now I'll do a test with just using the 'Spoiler'-button again:

Now I'll try one of your suggestions

OK so just 1/3 worked - using the 'Spoiler' button the format is wrong and just pure gone for visibility, so definitely an error in auto-coding introduced here.

So looking into your post, and again with the deliberate misspelling :
[SPAILER="In that case an auto-coding of the 'Spoiler' button has appeared recently"][/SPAILER]

[ISPAILER]Now I'll try one of your suggestions[/ISPAILER]

[SPAILER=OK, theres definitely introduced an error when clicking the 'Spoiler' button][/SPAILER]

The middle one worked, the other two did not. Did you do this from the spoiler button (mask logo in the first 'more options' drop down, after font sizes), of typing the code? (the mask icon button worked for me: Windows 11, Firefox) not really relevant a no technical issue

If I try with the other spoiler button (eye with a line through it, in the 'more options' drop down that follows the smiley face)
there is the complicating factor of an optional title. I think what you have been doing is giving a field of zero content a title that you intend to be the hidden content. If there is no content to hide (as you have inadvertently created), the title for that hidden content won't appear either. (@Netserk's post showed that putting content between the two sets of brackets renders the titles visible)
This is the hidden content.
Hidden content without a title is also possible, just don't type anything in the pop-up box

Sorted?

Using mobile version (Chrome for Android) at the time, only a single field was displayed.
Now verifying via laptip browser and it's back to standards.

Only the optional title has a pop-up box, the content of the spoiler is written like the rest of your post.

I'll admit, I didn't realise the icon for inline SPAILER was a mask, I thought it was a - very short - chain.
I guess a mask does make more sense...

A mask feature makes sense.
But a dedicated icon for the spoiler content itself makes even more sense...
