He appears to be a sprinter or something of that sort. I'm a little surprised though, he is "old" and not the same quality of say Moser or Sagan.

On a different note, will Astana bring in LUTSENKO Alexey?

Or has MANFREDI Andrea been linked to anyone? They seem to be the best talents aside from Aru & Jungels

Mark Welldone... great name.

Of course, not as great as Wouter F.ckert.

Interesting to see FdJ going for an Argentinian rider :) Hope he can prove them right. Anyone knows anything about him?

Looks like he's a sprinter, had some decent results on u23 races like 2nd in ZLM Tour. He's the part of Centre Mondial du Cyclisme which is kinde like a team created by uci for riders from non-cycling countries to promote young talents from all around the world. Teklehaimanot was the part of that team for some time.

Some more:

Jérémy Bescond (Vulco - Vaulx-en-Velin) ---> Cofidis
Jimmy Turgis (CC Nogent-sur-Oise) ---> Cofidis
Warren Barguil (CC Étupes) ---> Argos-Shimano
Jonas Ahlstrand (Cykelcity.se) ---> Argos-Shimano
Yoann Paillot (CO Couronnais/Top 16) ---> La Pomme Marseille
Théo Vimpère (CM Aubervilliers 93) ---> Big Mat - Auber 93
Robbert de Greef (Nwv Groningen) ---> Cyclingteam Jo Piels
Jochem Hoekstra (Baby Dump-Lemmens-Wilvo) ---> Cyclingteam Jo Piels
Romain Guillemois (Vendée U) ---> Europcar
Julien Duval (USSA Pavilly Barentin) ---> Véranda Rideau-U
Alexis Gougeard (USSA Pavilly Barentin) ---> Véranda Rideau-U
Jasper Hamelink (Jo Piels) ---> Vacansoleil
Rudy Kowalski (VC Rouen 76) ---> Roubaix-Lille Métropole
Davide Martinelli (Hopplà) ---> Sky
Emmanuel Kéo (Sojasun Espoirs) --> Saur-Sojasun
Maxime Renault (Sojasun Espoirs) --> Saur-Sojasun
Alexis Vuillermoz (CC Étupes) --> Saur-Sojasun

At the UCI center in Aigle he is trained by Alejandro Gonzales and Jean-Jaques Henry. His real mentor however, is another active Argentinian professional Edgardo Simon who trains him whenever he is back in Argentina.

As a rider he is somewhat similar to Edgardo Simon as well. He is a good time-trailist with a reasonable fast finish to boot. He is far from a full-blown sprinter though!

He likes to ride offensive and often seeks into the breakaways. He can handle cat-3 and cat-2 type of climbs but anything beyond and he is out the back!

1.73cm and 63kgs. Promising talent. I think he can turn into a very good 1-day rider over time.

I believe Lachlan Morton will be riding as a stagiarie for Garmin this year (from Garmin Conti) - can't remember where I read that though

PS. Thanks for a new thread which isn't "XYZ Discussion Thread"

Hope so, the kid has real talent. He may have the potential to become a true (not manufactured) climber, a novelty for an Aussie.

Vaughters seems to track his progress really closely, so you could be right. I think earlier he already compared Morton to a young Lemond, although TBH Morton's results since then haven't really suggested as much.

The big surprise for me is Martinelli, talented TTer from Italy, its his first season in u23 and alredy recived such a big chance to ride for Sky, guess he must have some big potential.
