Great course and great skills. Shame it was a two horse race from the off but that was a masterclass in racing in dry conditions. Nys' technical skills are second to none. Good ride by Steve Chainel to finish fourth too.
Gotta love 'cross :D

Yes ... there are 2 outthere as you posted already thanks...

I said that because in the beginning, the stream on vt4.be didn't work here and I noticed it was also the case for others in Belgium and the Netherlands. But I got back to it in the end, and found out it actually worked. So no problem.

Yeah, nothing compares to cross, on TV or on the spot. The most telegenic sport I can think of.

I like what Aernouts did in the aforelast lap. Taking the lead before the sand section where he knew he could drop Stybar. It didn't work but he did what he should have done. I wonder what happened between Chainel and Wellens. Bart wasn't happy at the finish. Great come back by Sven VTH. ;)

Next Superprestige event on Oct. 31th in Zonhoven. Same stream. ;) We've already talked about it last season. :D

I thought that Chainel brake tested Wellens in the switchbacks on the last lap and made Wellens lose momentum. Naughty but then it is 'cross!

Tune in in 3 weeks for more Crazy Belgians :D

Crap, missed it.

Is Stybar going to dominate now Nys is getting old and Albert didn't have the optimal preparation for this season?

Not so sure about Albert. I think being injured is "less worse" than being ill like Wellens was, last year. He's likely to come back soon, I think. He was not that bad yesterday. Only dropped with one lap to go.

For Nys, it might be the year too much but let's wait for the truly muddy and technical winter crosses coz even though Styby can handle them, they are always in Nys' favour.

Thanks Lug for the explanations.

Koppenberg cross (GvA), today. That will be on Sporza. I don't know if there's a non-geoblocked stream on Sporza.be this year.

But tomorrow, 15h15 CET, the waste dump of Zonhoven, on the stream, posted in the OP.

Two very heavy crosses in one weekend. Insane !!

Yep, I think that the holiday has a lot to do with this. I'm sure that the extra 24 hours would have been appreciated. Although, I always feel more beaten up the second day after racing rather than the next day. Enjoy your holiday weekend. :D

Thank you, the same to you. ;)
Gonna need rest coz' I'm beaten up (and I do not race) :D

I guess you have a point though. The thing is that these two crosses are very heavy. Usually, it's a flat + hilly cross combo in a weekend.

You've got great waste dumps out there. :D

But seriously, always been a fan of that cross. The woods near the highest point of the route are really beautiful.

Kevin seemed to be coughing on the podium, hope he's all right.

On Monday 27th, I'm going to Diegem. ;)

Sweet ... I will be there in support of two Canadians (Craig Richey and Shaun Adamson) and one American (Davy Yeater) who are riding there. Stop by (white van, no decals with a blue tent) before the race and say HI.
