Sport has denied use of harmful drugs, should it deny athletes surgical improvements? An extra elbow tendon for MLB pitcher, knee of NFL lineman, greater lung capacity for endurance athlete or sharper vision (lasik) for all?

In all fairness, most of the athletic surgery I've heard of is to repair damage, not to improve on an undamaged body.

whoops - didn't see the LA shortened shoulders article. Oh this is terrible. We must ban surgical improvements, or April 1, I can't decide which.
