Again, it’s too early for Seixas either in one day or the tours.
20 year old Pogacar couldn’t beat an ancient Valverde or Roglic in 2019. A 19 year old Sexy had zero chance in a big race against Pogacar, none, nada, Zilch.
In two years they’ll be close

Pogacar in 2019 wasn't the monster Seixas is to be honest.

Now obviously Pogacar is a different monster too, but Seixas seems to keep progressing.

True, he wasn't but he was closer to Roglic than Seixas is to him it seems

The best chance anyone would have of causing an upset would be France and Belgium attacking non stop on the flat first 90km and try to get 3 or more riders in a serious break.

Riding simply for Seixas/Evenepoel to go heat to head with Pog on the final laps is a recipe to race for silver,

Well 5x Mozjanca will be fun to watch, narrow road, 90 degrees turn after steepest part, road one car wide, part of the road got tarmac last week, then steep descent...

Very hard to do that on flat roads.

So a big positioning battle for the foot of the first time up then the difficulty of the climb combined with the narrowness will quickly thin out the field.

The Slovenia team will be more akin to a Cofidis/NSN level than a UAE team able to exert as much control as they desire.
But Slovenia is normally very weak. Those 3/4 riders who work early, will have an easier task this time compared to a route like Kigali or Zurich. It's much easier to control a break on flat roads, specially when your team is very weak.

You need 0 control in the Euro's because Evenepoel will just set it all up for Pogacar again.

Would also be surprised if Roglic wasn't racing this. It's either this or spend the fall classics in the Evenepoel penitentiary

And I still think Roglic can finish his career in this race.

Yes you can usually rely on Belgian national team tactical ineptitude to get in their own way.

This is why I appreciate Jonas. He really has a winning mentality. He doesn't colaborate with Pogacar if he knows he can't gain anything with that or Pogacar benefits way more than him. Excluding his ride last year on La Plagne (that was dumb), he always rides the perfect race against Pogacar, even if It's "boring" to our eyes (cycling fans in general). The way he rode on San Luca, the gravel stage, the first week last year, this is a guy who only cares about winning. On the other side, Remco is more worried with his ego and with what people will think of him if he just wheelsucks Pogacar. I think he will never do that (and also put his team on the attack right at the start) even if It's his only chance of winning against Pogacar. This is probably due to his constant moaning on the road (arm waving) or interviews when he clearly criticized his rivals (e.g. Vingegaard doesn't have "ba...", Philipsen in Belgium RR).

Yep. Trick is every Slovenian team member knows this climb to a road crack, great advantage, since the positioning, as you put it, will be crucial. And at the top are usually chickens on the road :D

As Adrie van der Poel would put it, at least Remco rides like a champion, even though he ends up not being one because he rides like that😂
