At local "Tour for good cause" Pog's father was asked a few questions about Pog's beginning.

The first Pog's bike was a used BMX from his cousin, and he rode it at the age of four. When father was asked what he ate as a child to become such a champion, he answered: "Pancakes with cottage cheese and bread dumplings. But when he started cycling trainings, only macaroni were on the menu all day long."

Considering Rogla just won the Vuelta in dominant fashion and Pogi's form is a bit of unknown, Slovenia should be all in for Roglič. Pogi should have a superdom/joker role like Lipowitz had at Bora during the Vuelta. Or even better a 100% joker role like Soler for example.
I mean Pogi sometimes kills the race 80 k from the line even when he is the sole leader of the team, so it effectively makes no difference if they give him the Lipowitz role. Always nice to have Rogla in G2 ready to beat Remco in the sprint of he decides to kill himself to pull back Pogi.

edit: several spelling mistakes, sorry for the ones I missed

I can't see Rogla performing well on this kind of profile. Other than 2020 LBL win his track record on this kind of routes is really not very impressive. That is why I believe there is a 0 chance of "all in" for Roglic but they might play dark horse card with him.

Who is the best in a flat sprint? Pogacar? Was just wondering if they go to the finish with ~10 riders, and both Roglic and Pogacar are there. Who is the leader. I guess Pogacar, but not 100% sure

Pogacar has a monster flat sprint for a GC rider, after a tough race he sometimes can even outsprint fast classics specialists. He's obviously an underdog against the likes of MVP/Jacobsen etc. but it's likely he'll be favoured from a small group on this course (bigger, faster riders may not make it).

Mohoric hinted this in his interview during recent L'Étape Slovenia 2024 event. He said he spent some time in Monaco training with Pog and then jokingly added that they constructed tactics for raibow jersey.
I think I know their tactics, it's just riding insane pace in the last 80-60 kms.... Pog is racing in his own league this year - smoking competition multiple times and breaking climbing records by huge margin. I will be the same during WC RR.
