Duh goes without saying but still. Its not close at all. If Pogacar is not 100% then its close if he is 100% weve seen it time and time again recently at this Tour when everyone was doing their best numbers - where they said they was at their best and it was faaar from close. Lance and Bruynel W there but kinda obv and common sense.
Well, Pogacar clearly upped his level this year, while Vingegaard certainly couldn't be in absolute top form after that horrific accident.
Pogacar had an injury last year, so he also probably wasn't on his best level.
In 2022 however, they were both healthy.
I think 2025. will give a clearer answer, but I'm skeptical that Vinge can reach Pog's new level.
This is of course purely in terms of GT racing.

I don't like to underestimate Vingegaard. He is the only rider to defeat the monster twice. Vingegaard will be better than ever next year, he will probably reach a better level than 2024 Pogacar (in GT's). Now let's see if this will be enough because Pogacar will improve too.

The boy is writting history every race. The godfather has even bowed to the new king. What a time to be alive. What we saw yesterday im still kinda shocked...100km to go, its insanity in this era just ludicrous how strong he is.

Well, Eddy kind of change the narrative...

Turning back any advance from a healthy Vingo will at least be UAE’s biggest goal of 2025. Pogi is usually slightly less interested. I’m guessing he’ll want to repeat Flanders, prevail in MSR, win the vuelta, and try to retain his WC stripes for 2026 as his biggest goals.

Try to win 4 monuments next year.
Tour
Vuelta
WC
7 goals next season. If he wins MSR and the Tour, I will be happy.

Important indicator is overall team performance. If the team is super far ahead of everyone else as well, then it's more likely other teams will catch up at some point.

Jonas has to establish his own recovery level. Between the injuries he's sustained and the rushed re-entry into Tour training he may be more than a season from his best.
