Hello.

Every year I use to make some bets before the Tour starts.
Most often I make bets regarding the general classification, and it adds an extra spice to the race!:)

What you guys think of these head to heads? Which rider will come out on top of the other in the general classification? Any clear favorites here?

Janez Brajkovic - Levi Leipheimer
Andreas Klöden - Chris Horner
Rein Taaramäe - Jean-Christophe Peraud
Jurgen Van Den Broeck - Samuel Sanchez
Peter Velits - Ryder Hesjedal
Rein Taaramäe - Tejay Van Garderen
Chris Anker Sørensen - Jakob Fuglsang
Sandy Casar - Kevin de Weert
Wouter Poels - Pierre Rolland
John Gadret - Roman Kreuziger
Ivan Basso - Bradley Wiggins
Cadel Evans - Robert Gesink
Bradley Wiggins - Alexandre Vinokourov
Alberto Contador - Andy Schleck
Alberto Contador - Rest of the Field
Vladimir Karpets - Jerome Coppel
Cadel Evans - Samuel Sanchez
Bauke Mollema - Tom Danielson
Christian Vandevelde - Tony Martin
Damiano Cunego - Nicholas Roche
Ivan Basso - Frank Schleck

Wrong forum but theres only 1 I would go 100% for, and thats Cunego > Roche.

Thanx:)

So you think Cunego is big favourite against Roche?

Is was looking at Danielson-Mollema, where Mollema was odds on favourite. Is Danielson going for GC, or is it Vandevelde?

Well Roche will be doing really well to recover from a bad crash at the dauphine

I see Tony Martin 8/1 for a top 10 finish - surely thats worth a go?

Also has Matt Goss got any chance at the Green Jersey? The 1st week appears to suit him more than Cavendish and at 40/1 you cant do much harm.

His main problem is that he's going to be working for Cav on a lot of stages if he was racing for himself it would be a totally different scenario.

Reckon the Moderators should let this thread stay for the duration of the Tour de France - the betting angle is of interest to many even some who dont bet!

Mollema's working for Gesink, he's said himself he's not riding for GC.

Plus, the yearly Garmin top 10 "surprise"? Danielson's in some hot form...
