Team Chicken (Team Christina Watches)

So, which continental team could it be? If he wants to get inte some decent races then it would have to be one of the higher ranked continental teams one would think. Miche would perhaps be one team where he could actually get to do something.

Miche couldn't stand him anymore.

I would guess any minor danish team? Would be easier for the logistic etc, althought it's not a great idea as they won't be able to ride bigger events.

Continental teams can only attend 1.2 or 2.2 races, unless it's a .1 race in the country where they have their license, correct?

Is the Tour of Austria a 2.2 race?

Tour of Austria was HC last year.

A Spanish or Italian team would make more sense in terms of the races they can ride. OTOH if a PT team offered Rasmussen a ride in one of the GT there would be no reason for Hembo to continue the sponsorship.

No, they can participate in .1 races anywhere, .HC in their country of origin.

Should pick a french team then.

He can ride Paris-Nice and Dauphine then. Unless those races are rated as historical instead.

I'd like to the Chicken ride again so i hope that what ever team it is can get into some bigger races that get tv time.

I worry about the long term effects on the team. Rasmussens (and Hembo's) goals are short term. Get back in the saddle and race against the big boys and hopefully impress one of the big teams so that he can get a spot next season. Hopefully Hembo is smart enough not to burn any of the teams existing sponsors so that the team can continue once's they've moved on to greener pastures.

I honestly don't know what to think of this new enterprise of his, but I applaud his courage to keep going-even knowing the odds of getting it running properly aren't on his side. good luck Chicken

As as i understand continental teams cannot ride the Dauphine or Paris-Nice or any other event on the World Tour

That is correct.

Whoever it was talking about the .HIS calendar, those are only for PT/ProConti too.

Continental teams can enter a .HC race in their own country (or continent in the case of Asia), and any races ranked .1 or .2.

I would be very surprised if it's Miche; after the 2010 experiment was a miserable failure. They still have Fortunato Baliani and Pasquale Muto to get them good results plus Stefan Schumacher too, which is reasonable for a team their size, don't really need him.

Decent-sized/quality races that would be available to Ras:

Langkawi, GP La Marseillaise, Tour Med, Comunitat Valenciana, Algarve, Castilla y León, Burgos, Portugal, Coppi e Bartali, Settimana Lombarda, Asturias, Trentino...

yep, quite a reasonable calendar he could viably do if any race organisers will take him.

The Continental team is most likely the Danish Team Stenca Trading. According to Danish TV2.

It is a very small, very bad team.

Rasmussen's personal sponsor Christina Hembo has taken over an already existing Continental Team. All the riders will stay and Rasmussen will join as team leader.

The name of the team is "Christina Watches"

Team Chicken sounds way more cool for a team name than Christina Watches. The Chicken should read your thread.

Team Stenca Trading is not registered as a Continental team.
