It's the Tour. You always give it your all. Regardless if in last couple of hundred meters or if it's stretched a bit. Some winning styles involve more seconds and some winning styles are OK with a second or two of an advantage. In my opinion it's the Rogličes style that drains you a bit more. If you finish behind and you still aim for the overall. As with Jonas or Pogi or Remco style you tend to soft pedal on the last climb.

Right, so Jumbo ups the pace more with Vinge as leader considering there’s less riders in the peloton compared to win Roglic is leader at the Tour, Giro, or Vuelta. Thank you for proving my point.

That's all just a load of BS. Plugge wasn't even aware there was a Saudi sponsor interested. The "news" was brought by Raymond Kerckhoffs, a journalist who can be bought. And he probably was, it was such a random story. An interview with some Dutch "spokesperson" for the Saudis saying he had approached Jumbo, basically an advertisement for this Saudi city.

But even if they were to be the next sponsors, it would be quite hypocritical to start hating on Roglic and Vingegaard, and not on Pogacar and Landa, for instance.

well, such examples, is what makes following pro cycling more fun. I don't hate on Landa or Pog. I like them. I don't like Jumbo, but I won't use the Saudi sponsor stick to beat them.

I was a Lotto-Jumbo fan. a Blanco-Belkin fan. dear me I'd have loved to see Kruijswijk beating Nibali in 2016. I remember when Zeeman was crying when Gesink got 4th in La Pierre St.Martin. I liked when Groenewegen won the Paris stage. I liked them cause the Rabo-fail curse was still there and they got mocked.
then they morphed into Sky (beyond Sky) and as a Sky fan I turned my back on them. I can't hate them. I can't hate a rider/team as some people did.

You can't win if you don't ride. History is replete with winners that weren't labeled good enough. You have to look no further back than the 2023 Vuelta.
Roglic at his best is a Force to be reckoned with. You may count him out but I'll bet his opponents (with the exception of the Prima Donna Belgian) Don't.

Many discussions about what would a bike racing team look like if money was not an issue, bikes,groups,wheels, clothing and riders. It would appear at first that money is only one issue to have the best most winning team.. The UCI and others are making a mistake by not building in more parity in the pro ranks, if Jumbo- Quickstep is on every podium for a couple of years it will hurt the sport..

It has been posted in other threads, so since you have been online, it has been possible for you to see the other posts. Anyway, a rule of thumb is that if an interesting tweet is older than 24 hours, there's a pretty good chance someone has already posted it. I mean tweets are like live sport; no one wants to see them with a delay 😉

Meanwhile, and probably unrelated to the sponsorship issues, their women's team has had an almost complete overhaul of team management. Earlier this year their manager Esra Tromp was replaced, and now they're also saying goodbye to 3 DSes/coaches, which I think is all of them. Jos van Emden is one of the guys to replace them.

Apparenty they want the women's team to cooperate more closely with the men's team, which may or may not be a good idea, but the fact is that as good as their men's team has been, their women's team has been quite underwhelming so far. Anna Henderson had a good season, as did Riejanne Markus, but mostly it's been quite poor in terms of results.
