Team Sky: Wiggins or Cav?

How will they build their team for the Tour? Is the world's greatest sprinter suddenly going to play second fiddle to an on-fire Wiggins?

Both. I don't see a problem. It won't be easy but if everyone pulls in the right direction, they can go for both jerseys. BW will be in the bunch finishes anyway, if he's going for the yellow jersey.

GC has to take priority if things start getting tricky though.

He was always going to play second fiddle to Wiggins this tour. Sky will be built round Wiggins and I'd be surprised if Cav even finishes given he has his eye on the Olympic RR.

Cav to have Eisel and a bit of a train to go for a few stage wins early doors, and Wiggins to have the team built around him for a tilt at yellow.

No way Sky will be riding on the front bringing back breakaways on the flat stages imo.

Between Wiggo & Cav, this is the straight answer.

LOL. Even tho this thread has already devolved into something less than serious, Wiggins winning in the Dauphine raises the stakes, I think.

My prediction is that Cav is going to lose out on the green jersey this year - and may leave Sky next year. I am sad to see this possibility - and it is all crystal-balling anyway, which is only accurate in hindsight - which is why the bookies are always richer than the bettors. I'm a Cav fan, not a Wiggins fan. I would rather see Sky ride for Cav, but I think in a few short weeks we will see that not happening.

It was rumored that Cav will go for early stage wins, then drop out to focus on the Olympic road race. This is good because it could be a real spanner in the works for Wiggins if Cav was going for the green jersey again.

Cav getting stage wins will be like an insurance policy against Brad not getting the win in GC, Sky can still leave the tour with some success. I imagine he will drop out after a while to focus on the Olympics as of course that is once every 4 years and this will most likley be his only opportunity to win there.

Wiggins will be their main focus. It's his one and only chance to win the Tour, unless the ASO decide to repeat this dismal parcours.
