I really thought Martin had won this competition too, but he's on 23.
Vuelta al Ecuador is only ranked 2.2, so it's all over for him.

I thought you were pointing out that G. Martin might have reached, and passed, Kelderman(n), but not Almeida; the guy actually in the lead.

Why would having a top-10 in this competition disqualify people? This is about having as many top-10s, without winning, as possible.

Because a first place would mean an instant disqualification, and if the runner up then takes the win, he too would be disqualified
